I just wanted to say a massive thank you to the ICDI team as they were very helpful in advising and guiding me through the transitional period of unemployment to full time employment. ICDI is a good and friendly environment so it’s easy to feel comfortable there and I honestly can say that they had a massive impression on my life because apart from the help with interview techniques and help with job searches, the advisors also helped me on areas outside of non employment with things like housing advice and a lot of social and personal issues regarding of course if I was willing to confide in them. All in in all from my time coming here I’ve learnt to be more confident in myself and also some valuable life principles like being able to take control of my circumstances and not letting what others may see as a is advantage to hold me back from pursuing goals and dreams. I’m now employed as a customer service manager at a top high street retail and gaming company but I can still pop in to ICDI when I’m free which is a big plus to know I would still have access to their help and resources. I would encourage anyone looking for employment to get om board with ICDI and that as long as you fully engage with them and have that mindset of bettering yourself then there’s no limit to what you’re future would hold.

When I was referred to the Work Programme I did not know what to expect, but when I met my adviser Urkiye I felt at ease and comfortable talking to her, I had applied for several jobs with no success then my adviser arrange an interview with Aniksha from Remploy for a Customer Service role and she arranged an interview with Marks & Spencer’s I was given 2 weeks training/Work Trial and after this I have been told that I was successful so once I obtained my new passport I was able to start the job which was 2 weeks later. I am very grateful to My Advisor Urkiye for helping me to get this job. Urkiye also secured travel cost for me so that I would not have difficulty travelling to my job. I thoroughly enjoy my job and cannot thank urkiye and Maximus and all of ICDI enough for helping me to secure a job with M &S who has been very supportive in empowering me to succeed. After a year of getting of nowhere with my job searching I came to ICDI to do a IT course In the hopes to upskill myself. The course open my eyes to the careers available to me. Alongside my course I was a given an advisor who pushed me to be the best I could be, we spent hours together working on my confidence and self-esteem and guided me towards my career goals. ICDI have graciously not only helped with my course but given me the confidence to succeed in interviews. Intense and thorough preparation ultimately helped me get a digital marketing apprenticeship. Thanks to ICDI and the support from my advisor I’ve found work in Techholic, as an digital marketing apprentice

I’ve done a lot of training courses with different providers before I started with ICDI. When I first started , I just thought of it to be just any old place that would not push me to do my best. I soon realised that I was finally getting the right information to help me succeed in life. I felt welcomed in ICDI, all the advisers really helped me to come out of my comfort zone. But as soon as they sent me to Traineeship in Edmonton, the people there really helped me become better, change the way I dress and motivate me to work harder. Through the help of my mentors I was able to get my first job in the Hospitality sector but it was not what I wanted to do so I enrolled into Computer Maintenance course which inspired me to pursue a career in the tech industry. With the support of my advisers I was able to secure my ideal job as a digital marketing apprentice.

During my time doing PCM, I learnt a lot about hardware installation, software configuration, basic networking and overall customer service skills. This experience led me to want a career in first line support and I gained a lot of help, advice and guidance from my advisor to create a good quality CV, cover letter and Reed Profile.I have had several meetings with the business development team, and have been put forward for a work placement, which I am waiting to hear from. I’m so grateful and happy for all the help. I received at ICDI and trust to find something with them soon.Selby

ECDL Entry Level 3

I started ECDL with ICDI where I learnt so much about using Microsoft Packages and how to use a computer properly in an office environment. Also I had many one to one career sessions and mock interviews with my work coach, in which I have become more confident in my career and interviews. Currently, I am studying AAT Level 2 where the tutor is brilliant and I am really enjoying my time at ICDI. Plus I have been in a work experience placement which is relevant to my career in administration and accounting. So glad I have met with ICDI who has experience and is really reliable.Selby

I found ICDI From my father who was once a student here. Before I joined , I was studying at Winchmore School Sixth Form; I then found out ICDI had vacancies for apprenticeships, which I had applied for. I was accepted for a traineeship course in PCM. It gave me an introduction which I found very helpful, it was for five weeks .Upon completion I advanced to an apprenticeship which provides good support and effective teaching methods, this includes: one to one support which helps me get a better understanding of what I learn during the course.Through the help of ICDI. I am now a level 3 ICT Apprentice and currently studying MCSA.Selby

ICDI get the best out of you, My ESOL classes were very good. I learnt a lot of grammar that I had no idea about before and I can now write much better. Most importantly I truly enjoyed the many classroom discussions we had and the group work we did. I made many friends and gained the confidence to express my views and opinion
